After a forecast of an increase in the harvest, the oil company Renova said that they are going to invest USD 150 million to build a new port. This port will have a grain storage in the Timbues facility, located in the south of Santa Fe Province.
According to PuntoBiz, sources from the company said that the new dock will be located next to the existing one, which operates with grains and flour. In this case, the dock will only be used for grain loading, with aditional space to moor ships. This construction has the purpose of getting involved in the business of processing grains imported from Paraguay.
This decision was mainly encouraged by the economic measures promoted by the government on the agricultural sector, aiming at pushing the volumes of crops.
